Still, the library is a significant part of our lives, a place we visit at least once a week.
With the internet, electronic readers, and recorded books rapidly advancing, we wonder what the future of the public library might be. In terms of vying for public dollars, something strong inside me would rather drive around potholes and eliminate lawmakers, if necessary, than see this service done in.
Below is one theory of how the public library may evolve. "Electronic Outpost?" Who knows? But, considering how long they've been around, it does seem somehow reasonable to view a library as a "life form" with "a survival instinct."
